(Well, the title is kind of deceptive since I'm hardly "running" the group. I'm officially the founder, but everyone has equal say in things.) I'm really happy with the response I got for this group. There's a handful of highly active members who are really going above and beyond to give eachother advice. I've also learned a lot just by reading the articles. (I do try to read everything posted to the group, whether or not I find anything to comment on or criticize)
I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the core membership consists of a lot of highly intelligent, conscious individuals. We met up on the Steve Pavlina forums, and that's not a place that tends to attract people with low consciousness levels.
One thing I've learned, which kind of lights a big ol' fire under my butt to get to work on my own blog, is that I'm not alone in having this fervent desire to create value for the world. So far, everyone who's actively contributed to the group, I can tell at some level or another you all want to add value to the world.
Of course, we're in a better position to create value when we're more free and independent, and thus I'm gonna keep my eyes peeled for ways the groupmembers can increase profit from their blogs. We're all newbies right now, and it's way too early to quit our day jobs still (.....or is it?? drumroll) But I'm picturing a future where the Band of Bloggers can tour the world, giving public speeches and curing cancer and solving world hunger. :)
